Bengkel RBT@PPD Rompin
May 6,2025 – Roboshop Technologies had the opportunity to conduct a hands-on RBT Workshop at PPD Rompin, bringing together passionate teachers from various schools in the district. The goal? To equip them with practical skills and confidence to integrate Micro:bit and 3D printing into their RBT (Reka Bentuk dan Teknologi) lessons.
🔍 What We Brought to the Table:
✅ Intro to Micro:bit
Teachers explored how this compact yet powerful microcontroller can be used to teach coding, logic, and real-world applications in a fun, interactive way.
✅ Hands-on Coding Activities
We guided teachers through beginner-friendly coding tasks using Microsoft MakeCode—many of whom were surprised at how simple and engaging coding can be!
✅ 3D Printing Fundamentals
We introduced 3D design using Tinkercad and demonstrated how 3D printing can turn student creativity into tangible, physical prototypes—perfect for invention projects in the RBT syllabus.
✅ Lesson Integration Tips
Teachers received ready-to-use lesson outlines and project ideas that align with the RBT curriculum, making it easier to implement what they learned back in their classrooms.
🌱 Impact & Reflections
What we found most rewarding was seeing teachers who were initially hesitant about technology grow more confident by the end of the session. Many shared how this workshop sparked new ideas for student projects, especially in areas like smart farming, home automation, and creative product design.
One teacher said,
“I never imagined I’d be able to teach coding. But now, I can see myself guiding students to build simple smart systems using Micro:bit.”
We believe that empowering educators is the first step toward empowering students. By giving teachers hands-on experience, practical resources, and ongoing support, we hope to foster a generation of learners who are not just tech consumers—but creators.
🤝 Special Thanks
A huge thank you to PPD Rompin for hosting and supporting this initiative. We’re excited to see how these teachers bring innovation back to their schools!
