Botley : Obstacle Avoidance

Course Description:

Step into the exciting world of coding and problem-solving with Botley Maze Explorers, a one-day hands-on session designed to teach students how to plan, code, and navigate challenges using the Botley robot. This course is perfect for young learners who are beginning their journey into programming and logical thinking through fun, interactive activities.

Students will learn how to code paths that allow Botley to successfully avoid obstacles by thinking ahead, anticipating challenges, and adjusting their sequences. Through a series of guided mazes, students will work their way from beginner paths to more advanced challenges, gaining confidence with each step. They will practice key skills like sequencing, debugging, and logical problem-solving, all while developing resilience and creativity as they learn from their mistakes.

By the end of the session, students will not only understand how to code efficient solutions but also build a strong foundation in computational thinking, setting the stage for future exploration in coding, robotics, and STEM.
